hey. Does anyone know any video software that can show 4 videos in one screen, like the tv series 24, I'd be very appreciative if you could help me

I don't know any media player doing this, but a script in AviSynth should do the trick... if the CPU is fast enough, you should be able to play back this script in realtime.
Search for " StackHorizontal / StackVertical ".

Yeah thats true, it can be easily done by an avisynth script but what worries me is the sound ;) which one will you include ???

What does "show" mean? I've frequently had 5 or 6 instances of MPC a la ffdshow running on a dual core 1.6 laptop with one drive, no hiccups.

Well, this site (http://agent-orange.ca/clips.html), Agent Orange... has 3 videos side-by-side...

Ideally you could have 4 running simultaneously on 1 screen... each having a quarter screen...
On satellite-TV you have 16 (preview) thumbnail channels running simultaneously to help see 'what's really hapopenning'..

Yeah, if the screen is big enough, you could simply build an HTML page with embedded WMP or Flash players in it.

If synchronizing is critical, you will probably want to create one video which has different areas of the frame from different source material. That's compositing.

These freeware apps should let you create such a video:

Keep in mind that your source videos are probably different lengths.

QuickTime might also work for you - I saw a demo at an electronics store running 12 movie trailers on a widescreen display all at once, and QuickTime was set to play sound only in the currently active window.
