Looking for a good viewing app to do comparisons

My method of comparing x264 output is almost laughable. Play one, then play another, then give a thumbs up/down.

I'd love to have an app that would open several video files simultaneously and have all the windows synchronized with a single set of controls. I'm encoding files with several different settings (just like everyone else here) and need to effectively see what it is doing. Having it able to load d2v, avs, and all the avc container formats would be awesome. Maybe something that is even similar to the audio abx programs that are out there.

Here's (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=956361#post956361) Sort an example of how'd go about doing something like that by IanB. Use directshowsource for your video files and preview them with either the text editor gui AvsP or Virtualdub.

Thanks for the answer. I figure that an AVS script would be one of the answers. Thanks. I will experiment with this. Any other suggestions?

See the double stimulus (ABX) test in Video Quality Studio (http://visumalchemia.com/vqstudio/) for an easy method of ABXing, though that might be too strict for simple comparisons.
