hey..

i have some dual audio ogm files.
ogm isnt really a codec i use much,
and i dont want to only watch the
files on somthing other than bs player.

is there a way to convert these files
to avi (dix or xvid) and only use one
of the audio tracks? if it matters english
is the 2ndary track...

i have used vdub a few times. but it doesnt
nativly support ogm files, so i need software
suggestions as well...

thanx in advanced.

Well, you might try virtualdubmod instead.

You might want to give oggdemux a try, it's a commandline utility and will definitely work if VirtualDubMod can't. It should output each audio stream as it's own file, which you can then select the one you want and mux it back into a complete AVI file in VirtualDub.

Just a clarification :) OGM is a container, not a codec. It likely contains MPEG-4 Video (XviD / DivX etc) and MP3 or AC3 audio. Playing an OGM in any DirectShow player like Media Player Classic or Windows Media Player is easily done with Haali's splitter. You aren't locked into using BSPlayer.

If you want, it should be pretty easy to load the OGM into VdubMod as foxyshadis suggested, put the video mode into direct stream copy, and go into the streams list and disable the one you dont want (making sure the one you DO want is in direct stream copy also), and then saving as an AVI.

Good luck :)
