What about info output?

Hi all and especially neuron2 :)

I know it has been discussed before, but I couldn't find a solution.
I plan on using DGindex 1.4.9 b7 to batch convert many VOBs.
I need the information from DGindex (frame type, aspect etc.) outputted to a text file, along the D2V file (or the D2V filename to include it).

When searching the old threads, all i could find was neuron2 mentioning its gonna be included in a future version, and amnon82's D2Vcreate, which I don't think is what I need.

Is this feature included now and I've somehow missed how to use it? if not, is it to be expected, or any other ideas how to do this?

It's on the to-do list but not a high-priority. If you need it fast, you can make the changes and then submit them and I'll be happy to include them.

I just ran DGIndex on a file and in the created d2v file the following info (and other info) was found just by opening it up in a text editor:

Aspect_Ratio=4:3
Picture_Size=720x480
Field_Operation=0
Frame_Rate=29970 (30000/1001)

Neuron2 - sorry for the late reply.

What do you mean by that? the info window clearly states whether the content is interlaced or progressive, when previewing or after saving a project.
Did I miss something?

Neuron2- I searched the archive some more, and I found your comment from an old thread:

"DGIndex correctly reports whether the MPEG2 pictures are encoded as interlaced or progressive. This is not the same thing as saying the content itself is interlaced or progressive."

So, aside from judging with one's own eyes, for automation reasons, is there a program that can tell if the content is really interlaced or progressive?

I don't know. I think Megui tries to analyze the content.

He's right though, the best way to figure out what type of video you have (assuming you're in too much of a hurry for MeGUI to do it for you) is to just step through it frame by frame and use your head :)
