Dolby TrueHD (http://www.dolby.com/professional/pro_audio_engineering/solutions_dvd3.html#tech)

is a lossless audio technology designed for the new high-definition packaged media. Only Dolby TrueHD guarantees lossless HD audio playback from every HD DVD player and from supporting Blu-ray Disc players, and Dolby TrueHD also offers the most efficient lossless coding available. It supports up to eight channels (7.1-channel surround) of 24-bit/96 kHz audio, with expandability to accommodate more channels in the future while retaining compatibility with all Dolby TrueHD decoders. (For fewer than eight channels, Dolby TrueHD allows sampling frequencies as high as 192 kHz.) Dolby TrueHD gives content creators new capabilities to position sounds for the most realistic effects. And with audio playback that is bit-for-bit identical to the highest-resolution studio masters, listeners experience sound as stunning as the high-definition picture.

Will the V.I. plug ins work with Sound Forge 9.0?, also can you create surround files like with Adobe audition? I tried to find the multitrack option like in audition but got lost...Is there a walkthru or guide anywhere on this or Vegas?

Hello
Track AC3 5.1 is 16/48000 for DVD-Audio, not for CD-Audio.
CD-Audio 16/44100, The AC3 of Aften and the AC3 pro of SF9, do not work well in AC3 44100.
For CD-Audio, It would have to be an AC3 wav, Aften and Sony Forge 9 not work in AC3 WAV.

Also the dts Software is Dongle Protected..so without a Donge and valid License you cant use it

Theres no cracked Version from dts pro Series and dts hd master suite out there..surely

- DTS ES Matrix, channel SC Matrix
- DTS ES Diiscrete, channel SC Discrete.

- Plug-in SRS Circle Surround, channels Discrete, Dolby Surround EX channels Matrix, this is the reason of the error in Sony Sound Forge 9.

- Delete track 8
- Encoded Dolby Surround EX in Sony Vegas 7e, very good results, yes Dolby Surround EX with VI.I perfect ¡¡WOOWWW!!

Hello

Dolby Digital 6.1 / Dolby Surround EX, the channel Surround Center, is a channel Matrix is not Discrete, ¿OK? :)

SRS Circle v1.0.1, the channel Surround Center is a channel Discrete, then, it can not work with the encoder Dolby Surround EX, which is why you have this problem.

This is my guide with Sony Vegas 7 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1059487#post1059487) and with the plug-ins V.I, that, in this guide if is a Doby Surround EX :), with SRS Circle and is not Dolby Digital 6.1.

Greetings :)

So, wait, the 6.1 record Project with 7 Channels will not work or what do you mean ?
The DD Pro Encoder ignores the SC Channel or what ?

I mean i have 7 mono waves and load them into each Channel.

Then encode the 6.1 record with Vegas8 Ac3 Encoder Pro to DD EX

The encoding works correct, Ex flag is encoded and i have SC in Playback..looks ok for me ?

Elektra999

The question is, that, the channels of SRS Circle, are channels discretes. A Dolby Digital 5.1 if it can be employed well with SRS Circle, but, in 5.1.

Dolby Surround EX (6.1), is a channel Matrix, not discrete, for this reason, the mistake exists commented for Zaim7890.

The Dolby Surround EX (6.1), has to be with a channel SC Matrix, never discrete.

Zaim7890
3rd November 2007, 20:44
ah ok, i thought it would still work the SC bein discrete, but i understand. :)

and just to confirm, if i use Vii 6.1 and encode it will i still get the same prob.

thanks for ur help.

THX Elektra

i understand ..i thougt the DD EX Encoder encodes the 7 mono waves and the SC via matrix into 5.1
So the encoded DD EX is physc. 5.1. I know ,ofcourse not discrete.
And the decoder with EX Setting "unpacks" the SC out of SL SR to 6.1 Output

My version of Sony Sound Forge 9, is legal, for this reason (AC3 Pro) it me works and to you not ;)

You can use WavToAC3 v1.1 (http://www.thefrontend.net/EncWAVtoAC3/index.html) for the Dolby Digital 5.1 and 6.1 :)

WavtoAC3 is a GUI for Aften !
It has Nothing to do with Sonys AC3 Encoder in Soundforge/Vegas

When you want to use the Sony AC3 PRO Encoder, you have to buy Soundforge or Vegas. PLUS the AC3 PRO Encoder ( seperate online purchase via Plugin)
Soundforge/Vegas is bundled only with the Consumer AC3 Encoder

You can use Aften with WavtoAC3 Gui..its free and delivers superb Quality :)

Elektra999
9th December 2007, 12:27
To use WAvtoAC3 v1.1, it is not necessary to use Aften GUI.
I have installed the installer of WavtoAC3 v1.1 Win32.

Thanks Zaim. One more thing I observed that surround files made with sound forge, that the most of the sound coming from center channel with the medium level in the front channels but you hardly notice if rear channels have some sound. Did anybody notice that or if there is any solution that you could raise the volume at rears to listen some sound from the rear channels.
