What would generally yield better results for a DVD backup? In one corner, we have an Xvid encoded by AutoGK at a quality of 75 resulting in 1.5 GB for an average feature film.

On the other side, we have a DVD shrunk to a single layer disc (DVD5) encoded by DVD Shrink resulting in a 4.5 GB file size.

Which of the 2 would generally yield better results? A 1.5 GB Xvid or a 4.5 GB DVD5 shrunken DVD? Or, would the average person not even be able to tell the difference?

Hi,

You could give more details like 1 or 2 pass for the 1.5Gb Xvid, what percentage for DVDShrink...
