create on windows show on mac

I am using Divx to encode videos captured from ny DV camera.
I edit using Pinnacle studio 7 and I want to create a CD
that I can send to my parents - they are Mac users.
I don't want to use (S)VCD etc since I want
a decent, full screen image.

What are my options ?

:( I should have tried that first. My problem is that I want to maximize the chance of it working 1st time - I want to make the CD on my PC and send it to my parents to play on their MAC - and make sure it works ok - So I really wanted a "recipe" that tells me exactly what needs to be downloaded and where the potential problems are. Or is at simple as downloading the player ?

i don't really know macs, but i guess if it's half-decent mac w/ fast enough cpu and cdrom drive that can read cdr/rw you shouldn't have problems.
burn cd as ISO level 1, Mode 1, ISO char set, don't allow any relaxed rules, close session/track/disk.
just follow doom9's guides how to encode

Not sure about the Divx file itself but I doubt the burning Cd part will much matter. Macs are much more flexible in reading media than a PC. You can pretty much feed them any CD and it mounts it:)

i know a guy with a G4-mac and he runs all my divx-cd's smoothly...i dunno what player he uses nor
if he has any codec installed...only know thats he's using OS X as operation sytem.
I'll ask it him on icq when i see him online.
btw i'm thinking of buying an DV-camera myself and would like to know what prog u used to capture ure video? U said u used Pinnacle studio 7 for editing, could u capture with it as well?
U used usb or firewire right, hope u didnt use analog input...could u open it in virtualdub after u captured and edited it???

Studio DV is a firewire card + software. The software is known as Studio 7. Studio 7 has DV capture, easy to use editing (drag and drop, all mouse oriented) and it knows how to make various output formats (avi,mpeg1/2, (S)VCD and others) The software is pretty well featured for home videos. I can recomend it - but it still has bugs.... :( (after all it isnt free software (:D ). Pinnacle support is lousy - but there is an active webboard.

my firewire-port is on my audigy-soudcard that i bought in OEM version...so there didnt came much capture software along :(
i'm sure ill will get my hands on some capture software, i just hope it will be able to capture from firewire...
do u know if Ulead does? i know some1 who got that prog with his Graphics card who has VIVO

sorry i only know about studio 7 - I don't know of it will work with your firewire card.
