Hi I have a plan of sorts to mess with around with video editing and i want to take all three evil dead films and edit them together to flow as one big movie i know where to make the cuts and such but i am wondering how i go about taking a dvd an editing them and burning it all back to a dvd im just not sure what format to convert the dvd to so i can edit it

Based on the editing you've described, you can probably just use DVD Shrink in the "Re-author" mode to accomplish your purpose...

sure i could but i want more of a challangeWell, since you're not interested in the simplest approach that I suggested, why don't you describe what else you'd like to do while going from "Point A" (Three DVDs) to "Point B" (One combined DVD) that you'd find more challenging?

You'd need to remux the raw streams you plan to keep into a new MPEG-2 container, at which point you can edit the video with any program that can import MPEG-2. Adobe Premiere requires an MPEG-2 plugin.

I want to make my own ultimate cut

Edit out some scenes
add my own menus
add my own images and artwork into to movie
