Best MP3 to wav converter *

I'd prefer MADPlay - the newest version (0.14.2) shall even provide 24-bit PCM output. Other alternatives are audio players which are able to write to WAV files (like WinAMP and Sonique) or MPG123 ports to Windows; but don't ask me about their quality...

BTW: Is WinAMP able to decode MP3s with MAD in 24 bit mode and write it to WAV files? I tried but only got a 16 bit wave file (probably the disk writer plugin is limited because it uses the ACM PCM converter?)
