capturing DV from my JVC camcorder

Hello everyone. First thanks to anyone that can help him albiet I have a very noob question.


I have adobe encore dvd but first I need to know what is the most user friendly and idiot proof way of getting the video from the cam to my pc and then edit in encore?

Sorry for the noob question, I have looked through FAQ and its just too confusing for me, I absolutely have no experience with this

Well... Encore is a DVD authoring program, not an editor. Premiere is the editor you would want to use to capture the footage through FireWire, and edit as necessary. Then you can open your Premiere project in Encore, and author your DVD.
