I'm in process of backing up this movie. I've seen some posts where there can be audio sync issues. I'm using Ripit4Me, but I don't remember how long ago since I updated Ripit. Obviously there's no updates right now. I've ripped it to an iso file. I'd rather not burn a perfectly good double layer disc only to find out I have this issue. Is there a fairly easy way to determine if I'm ok before burning?? THX in advance.

You could open the ISO in DVD Shrink or Media Player Classic and play it.

Hi!I've seen some posts where there can be audio sync issues. Those posts have to to with converting/compressing to other formats and, should in no way impact your ability to burn a D/L backup of the DVD.

Besides, as stated by "Dialysis1", simply play the harddrive version before you burn it (An .ISO image file can be played by "VLC" player without having to "mount" it) ...

OK, thanks. Will try; that's why I'm in Newbies forum!

OK- I was ripping it (in process) during my original post; now I'm getting this error from Decrypter "On-the-fly IFO/BUP file patching failed!" Reason- Invalid IFO/BUP file. I also thought it strange, when it Ripit4me started , it said " Cannot find Video_TS folder. Now as I said, I'm a true novice with Ripit 4Me. I'm in iso mode; but it's acting like it should be reading it from a file mode rip. I'm trying to rip it staright from the disc, to an iso; is that possible, and if so, what's my problem??
THx

now I'm getting this error from Decrypter "On-the-fly IFO/BUP file patching failed!" Reason- Invalid IFO/BUP file. This will arise several times during the ripping of this (and most other recent "ARccOS"-protected SONY releases) DVD. Simply click on "Continue" each time you see this message...

I did, even though there are 100 separate VOB's, so it was kind of a pain, can't really believe people are doing this with a "oneclick" solution, but then I went to DVD Shrink to try and view the iso, as per your earlier post, and got some errors, didn't even note exactly what because I assumed I had a bad rip. Kind of chasing my tail, but I'll give it another try tomorrow. Thanks.

I'd suggest that (as I suggested earlier) an .ISO image file can be played by "VLC" player without having to "mount" it, rather than rely on DVD Shrink for playback...

You might want to try ripping in "File" mode, rather than ".ISO" mode...

I went ahead and burned it; plays perfectly on my cheap home player, but it won't play on my computer using WinDVD or Nero. Any ideas on that?
