Does anyone know what RVW means?

I have a Quasar VM-21 from 1986 and it has this button called RVW. I don't have a manual. When i hit the button it makes some noises and nothing happens.

Back when my family had a Betamax VCR, "rewind" was called "review" - could it be that simple?

There is a REW button on the vcr controls for that. I'm stumped...

Nm, i'm a dumbass. It does stand for REVIEW. You record something. Hit stop, then hit rvw and it rewinds to the last index mark and plays. Not to shabby for a 20 dollar camera from before i was born hehe.
