I encoded a 23.976 frame rate avi to MP4(x264-AAC) using meGUI keeping the original frame rate. When I opened the MP4 file in TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress, it says that the frame rate of the file is 23.077. Infact, its not for any specific file but for all the MP4 files I have created using megui. I believe its something to do with the MP4box's muxing. Is there any way to properly mux the .h264 & .aac files so that the resulting MP4 it shows the correct frame rate i.e 23.976 instead of 23.077. I wont mind if I get the target file as MP4 or MOV. I basically want a Quicktime compatible file.
NOTE: I dont want to create any MP4/MOV file using TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress as I rather wish to use x264 for this purpose.

do other tools than tmpg also report the files to have 23.077fps?

Well i tried mp4info & it reports 23.976084. Even info() in avisynth reports 23.976 but I just dont understand why TMPGEnc Xpress(both 3.0 & 4.0) say so.
Is their any other proper way to mux the h264 & aac files to create MP4/MOV files ? I just wanna check if TMPG Xpress reports the same frame rate if I try other methods.

It sounds like there is a problem with TMPGEnc's detections system.
If you want another way to mux MP4's, check out Yamb. Just run a search.

well yamb uses MP4box to create Mp4 files & i create my MP4 files using meGUI which also uses MP4box. So, any other suggestions ??

No, the only freely available solution to MP4's is mp4box. At least, it is the only one that I know of.

sounds like tmpgenc is crap
did you try encoding the mp4? does the output have the right framerate no matter what tmpeg reports?

Ok, I did wat u said. I encoded the MP4 file created using meGUI to an MP4 file using TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress. Well this time, it says that frame rate(of the file created by TMPG) is 23.974.

Yeah, it looks like it was just a reporting error by TMPGEnc.
