@experts: how to fix avi-file > 2gig ?!?

hello experts, i've recorded an avi-file with hauppauge wintv and mjpeg on fat32 drive. the file got bigger than 2 gig and so is bigger than allowed for normal avi-files. now i cannot read it with virtualdub or play it with mediaplayer.
is there a tool to fix this file? the data should be ok that was recorded.

The maximum filesize in Fat32 is 4Gb, if u cant play the AVI it's propably not because it's too big put because it's corrupted in someway.

The largest a standard avi file can be is 2gb. So it most likely did not finish encoding and is corrupted.

no, the program recorded the complete data, and it's smaller then 4 gi - size is around 2.6 gigabyte. so i think i need a tool wich writes a correct avi-header to make the data accessible. the single frames (i hope and think) are recorded correctly. (i used motion-jpeg picvideo codec for capturing from my tv-card, avi-resolution was half pal)
someone in another forum suggested me to use graphedit - would this help ?
