Java Script or what?

Could somebody help me to turn 'on' my Java Script please?
I want to view some photo's that have been saved by a friend of mine on 'You Tube', and I keep getting a message saying that my Java Script is either turn off or I need to update the flash player. I have the lastest flash player ... so I assume its the Java Script that is 'off'.
Where is it and how do I turn it 'on'?

First off, what are you using to browse the web? M$ Internet Explorer? Netscape? FireFox? Avant Broswer? Safari?

If it's FireFox (under Windows), open "Tools", click "Options", select the "Content" tab, check the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox, click "OK". JavaScript should now work once you refresh the page.

I use both IE & AOL Browsers ... figured it out eventually ... thanks anyway :)

Good that you managed to find out where to find the options to enable/disable JavaScript on your own. But may I also suggest you check out Avant Browser (http://www.avantbroswer.com) as a safer alternative to IE?

Why should Avant Browser be any safer than IE, when it just puts IE's engine into it's own shell ???
AOL browser does exactly the same anyway. So all exploits and hacks that effect IE will effect AOL/Avant Browser too.

Instead of AOL/Avant Browser you should try a "real" browser like Firefox/Seamonkey or Opera :rolleyes:

I get this message too, and I have JS turned on and the latest Flash player. I can copy the URL from the source and view it, but that's annoying. What gives?

Firewall, Internet Suites (like those from antivirus companies) - some of them filter the http packets and remove javascript code (really).

No, I checked, the code is all there. Unless it's my router, there shouldn't be anything doing that. For that matter, it works on my Wii, but not on either PC in Firefox; anything trying to use the Javascript "new SWFObject" will fail and complain about the Flash version.
