Hey, firstly I was wanting to create a folder of JPEG's inside a dvd, so that you can either watch the dvd video, or simply explore the JPEG's on the disc. Is this possible by just putting the JPEG's into the audio_ts folder or something or not?
Secondly, I was wanting to create a link within the DVD menus, to link to the JPEG's folder so that you can browse through them, and also a link to get bac kto teh DVD menus. Does anyone know how I would implement this idea?

Firstly putting the JPEGs on the disc is no problem. Just create a third folder on the root of the disc. As far as linking to it goes, you can use software auch as Sonic's E-DVD to create hyperlinks and links to other material such as your JPEG folder. The way it works though, if I remember correctly is to open the JPEG folder independantly of the DVD in a seperate window. Therefore you will not need to go back per sey, as the DVD will still be on the last page you left it. Obviously as this is DVD-Rom functionality it will only work on a computer and not a standalone player.

I must confess, I usually talk clients out of trying to do something like this as it involves including some software on the disc that installs interactual player onto the users computer before the enhanced functionality will work. From experience I have seen this cause all sorts of problems with driver incompatibility on older machines. If you know who you are sending this disc out to and are happy to troubleshoot problems for them, then go ahead. But if you plan on making a large number of DVDs and you can't guarantee the competancy of the end user, then I would think twice. You don't want people blaming you for messing up thier computers :)
