Having an odd issue with VirtualDub 1.6.17/1.7.1 and VDubMod 1.5.10 with btwdm drivers (5.3.8).

The drivers work fine at 720x480 with AMCap and Dscaler with both tuner and S-Video/Composite inputs.

In Vdub when I go into capture the default size is 320x240 and the overlay is displaying video.

When I switch to 720x480 the overlay goes black.
Both Preview Pin and Capture pin have the same resolution and color spaces.

Switching to a different input and checking the Preview Pin again, it's reset to 320x240 while the capture pin is still at 720x480 (which in theory should work) but still get the black overlay.

I switch the Preview Pin to 720x480 with no results.

I checked what color spaces AMCap is using (RGB24 for Capture Pin, YUY2 for Preview Pin), and setting that in VDub made no difference. Setting both to either RGB24 or YUY2 doesn't help either.

Switching both Capture and Preview Pin back to 320x240 gets my video back.

I set both back to 720x480 manually and it goes black.

Tried switching to Microsoft WDM Image Capture (VFW), same deal. Also tried Preview mode instead of overlay.. no go.

I'm stumped as this does work fine with AMCap and Dscaler and it is "kind of" working in Vdub as 320x240 works.

So I'm confused what's up here.

Doing some searching in the forum here dug up this unanswered post which is possibly related:

Any ideas??
