View Full Version : MeGUI Update Problem

I have been having a problem with my MeGUI update. I recently reinstalled windows, and when I went to redownload and install MeGUI, the update process kept hanging up on 13 updates. The error is as follows:

"Updating tivtc. File 9/13.
Error: The path to save tivtc to is invalid."

I figured that there were some permission issues with writing the updates to file, so I moved the MeGUI folder to my c:/ directory, and it still has the same error. I know I didn't accidentally delete a folder, so does anyone know why this is happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :thanks:

Do you have AviSynth installed?

yeah, that seems to be it, everything works now. i feel like such a n00b :rolleyes: . although, i dont remember having to do this the last time i installed megui, it just worked out of the box. oh well. thanks!

Am I the only one stuck with the revision 635 of x264? The update feature doesn't seem to work anymore... :(

jap, it seems sharktooth is doing a spring break :)

but there are alternative x264 builds out there...

You can manually update each individual component without passing through megui's update feature.

In fact, if you manually update your avisynth filters then run megui update, it will "downdate" them to the (older) versions on its list (I noticed with TDeint v1.1 and EEDI 0.9.2)

Ya, the update feature in MeGUI has some issues, but its a hell of a lot better then the updater built into Gordian Knot. ;)

Anyway, the downdate thing is a little irritating when it comes to AviSynth Filters. Maybe should have a checkbox for each item so that you can choose to update it manually without worrying about accidentially downdating it.

right click on the file....tada already built in
