New to this and just got a ps3 and hd tv

Hello everyone, i just got my PS3 and a 1080p HD TV, i have some 1080p content on my computer in the form on wmv from the hd showcase (windows)

however when i try to convert it using a program like mp4 converter , the bitrate is something like 3000 where as it needs to be say 9000

what program would you recomend and how is it done

i tried the x236 or something but i couldnt get it to work proeprly

Try MeGUI if you have windows, you can find a lot of information about it in the mpeg-4 gui section. There's no specific PS3 profile, but that's partly because its capabilities change every month; one of the threads in there will tell you what's compatible.
