I'm not sure how long this has been a problem, as it's been a week or two since I encoded last, but tonight I ran into a whole mess of problems when I realized that any application that I could open an avs file in would lockup and send the cpu usage for that app to 100% in task manager. I've since reinstalled the applications; like megui, vdub, reinstalled avisynth 2.57, xvid, ffdshow, and still am having the same problem. I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing this, but it's making it so I can't encode anything right now. I'll post more details later on tomorrow when I'm back from work, but if anyone knows anything about this, or might be related to this, please let me know.

Thanks.

It's got to be a new filter or an avsi in your avisynth plugins folder. So it's time to remove them all, and start adding them back in one by one to see when the behavior starts. If you remember what filters you might have installed recently, those would be good places to start.

Glad you mentioned that. I updated vsfilter recently and found out that is what was causing the problem.
