I'm hooking up my Xbox 360 to my computer monitor with a VGA cable, and I'd like to record it. Fraps will only record in-game, so what alternative programs are there that will give me as close to perfect quality as possible? Or is there some way to trick Fraps into recording your screen out-of-game?

You'd probably need a video capture card. No software can grab the image going directly from the console to the screen, as the PC isn't even involved in this.

Wait, nm. If you bypass the computer and go directly to the monitor, then no, you can't record from the computer. You would need a capture card in that case.
