Updating the site is difficult right now but since I can post here I hope people remember the alternative news source - so let me get right into the thick of it:
DGMPGDec 1.4.9 beta 17 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=116841) fixes an audio demuxing issue when dealing with M2TS files and can handle DTS audio in M2TS files properly.
EVOdemux 0.625b (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=120652&page=60) can rebuild an EVO containing advanced packets.
ProgDVB 5.05.2 (http://www.progdvb.com/)contains an updated TechnoTrend WDM module, can open different filters with one PID and it contains some bugfixes as well.
AC3Filter 1.20 (http://ac3filter.net/index.php?name=Sections&req=viewarticle&artid=1) allows you to play multichannel audio CDs without any manual conversion as well as to play WAV files taken from multichannel audio CDs, improves its DTS SPDIF passthrough capabilities, supports SPDIF input and properly handles 14bit DTS files.
Due to me lacking a proper mouse, I'll limit myself to software news and look at the legal angles when I get back on Sunday.
Also, the first email about PCIx vs PCIe hit me just after I posted the CeBit article so there's no need to bring it up again.. it's just that right now I don't have a secure way to upload to the site and I don't feel like broadcasting credentials over an unsecured wireless connection shared with a 100 other hotel guests all with their own laptops (and many of them actually setting up wireless networks so they know exactly how to sniff out stuff).
