newbie trying to put video on cd to play on DVD

Hi everyone,

Im completly new to all this,

Can someone please tell me if its possible to take captured video, and put it on a CDR or CDRW and be able to play it on a set top DVD that says its capable of playing VCD/ CDR/CDRW? ( JVC XV-M50BK )

PLease Help! I want to be able to take home movies and put them on something that i can play on my NEW DVD player....thanks!

Well yes u can as long as u burn your movies as VCD or SVCD(if your dvd player support svcd's).
For more info on how to rip to vcd or svcd visit doom9's guides they can be very usefull.
