Everything was working fine when I had Windows2000, but I formatted and installed WinXP. Now when I use smart ripper to extract an AC3 file and compress it to a VBR mp3, they're 5-7 seconds longer than my video file. I used a copy of my lame/azid setup that I was using in 2k and I also tried with BeSweet. Anyone know why this happens?

If Besweet is Working for you , why don`t you try LST to Mp3 then ?
Or use Graphedit :)

Well the problem is that I get the same file length for the audio file using graphedit, lame/azid, and besweet, which leads me to believe that the problem is in the actual ripping process or possibly virtual dub.
