Sony dvd+r dl discs

Has anyone had problems with these discs? I bought them and started using them and none of them work in anything but the burner I used to burn them. I have a Samsung burner but have never had this problem before.

Yes, I have a BenQ 162I external burner, firmware uptodate and Sony R+ is one of the media recommended by BenQ, as it has been tested and I use the regular Sony R+ and no problems but with the DL's I had the same issue.

And my problem is that my burner does not burn verbatims and BenQ advised that they do not recommend them, so I am hoping to find some Maxell or Fuji DL's as that is what they recommend.

verbatim discs work perfectly in my benq 1640 and 1655
