Like Harry Potter has been posted in 1.7:1 whereas the correct
aspect should be 2.35:1.

I know how to use NanDub to resize, but how to do the resize without reprocessing (and thus degrading further) the whole DivX?

Sort of like a Direct Stream Copy with resize - normally not possible in NanDub.

thats not possible without reencoding , but you can use a player that is able to change the aspect ratio during playback.

imho zoomplayer would be the best for this.
