I tried loading Dragon ball Z S1 D1 retail 1 DVD into dvd rebuilder but it doesn't recognize anything. I can't remove any audio etc because it doesn't show up. I thought maybe a protected disc so I ran it through Ripit4me still no dice. Strange thing is that Vobblanker recognizes it fine. Same with Nero Recode it recognizes the DVD fine. Any help is appreciated.

PS. Your batch mode doesn't always work properly either often times it won't start any of the other discs on the list. Though sometimes it works most of the time it doesn't and there's no specific pattern for it.

Look at the disc. One of two things are possible:

1. It doesn't have any audio. Only VTSs with audio show up in the list.

2. It has many VTSs that are all very small (smaller than 50MB). If that is the case you may have to modify the VTS_MIN_SIZE paramters.

You'll have to be more specific as to what you are experiencing with the batch feature. I have received no other reports of problems... and I personally use it every day to do anywhere from 2-4 discs. My guess is that you are somehow using it incorrectly.

I know for a fact it is not the vts size because the main feature is 7gigs. Also it contains audio so thats not the problem. Like I said every other program I used reads it fine except yours. As far as the batch goes I generally have the same settings for each batch process just changing the destination and source. It sometimes just doesn't start the second one on the list. Believe me when I say this jdobbs your batch doesn't always work properly. A good reason why people don't report it because it's not really a big deal. Also the dvd when i put it in vobblanker it detects multiangles maybe that has something to do with it.

Batch Process

1. Pick source and then destination
2. Cut out audio if necessary (I either use HC or CCE and always the best settings, CCE 6 Pass) I keep closed captions, also multiple processes, one click mode, output as iso. Thats all for the settings
3. Save as project, then if theres more project1, project2 and so forth. Changing every source and destination as a required. I do this all in one sitting, then restart the program and add all the projects to batch. Then hit go.

It's always possible that there is, indeed, a problem with the batch function, but for what it's worth, the RB community in evidence in the fora is quite invested in RB's continued growth and constant improvement (and jdobbs never fails us in that regard!). Which is to say, if many others were to have issues with the batch processing, they would, indeed, report it (as you have). For what it's worth, I often use batch mode and have never had problems, and I can't recall anyone else reporting similar issues. So it's great that you have submitted a report of the potential bug, but I don't think that the posited phenomenon is quite as pervasive as you believe.

I do a lot of batch jobs and *all* of them work, in fact I don't think I've ever had a single batch job fail in any way. That's not to say others won't experience problems - I just haven't.

Though sometimes it works most of the time it doesn't and there's no specific pattern for it. This sounds a lot like you are mistakenly pushing the "Backup" button rather than the "Start" button in the "Batch" tab. I've done that myself on occasion. When that happens, only the currently loaded project gets executed.

Ya I've done that too, Im pretty sure we've all done it. But that's not it. I don't really wanna turn this into a batch doesn't always work thread. As I really don't care it doesn't work all the time. I just thought I'd point it out. I'm trying to figure out why dvdrb doesn't recognize the source more so heh.

What do I have to do to get you to look into this problem there jdobbs?

Actually I thought that was what I was doing. That may be, don't you think, why I'm asking these questions?

Try adding this line to the "[Options]" area of the REBUILDER.INI file:

DISABLE_COMMAND_REFERENCE_CHECK=1

and let me know if you experience anything different.

I've uploaded a new version (v1.23.2) with fixes for testing. Can you please try and see if it fixes your problem? You can download it from this link. (http://www.jdobbs.com/4650-5006-3790-4761-9251-5444/DVD-RB_v1.232Pro.exe)

Hi jdobbs,

Just wanted to let you that I just experienced the same problem yesterday with a french movie. Unexpectedly, the bonuses about 1Go were missing from the list of vts. Just grabbed v1.23.2 and all seems to be back to normal. Currently encoding, let's hope the result is also OK.

Thanks already for the upd and fixes.

Thanks. I do as much testing as I can -- but sometimes new bugs still make it through. From the reports I've gotten so far it looks like this new release has cleaned them up.

Sorry I didn't mean to be rude. I apologize. I know you are trying to help me and just going over the simple stuff first. The DISABLE_COMMAND_REFERENCE_CHECK=1 works, it recognized the DVD after I put that into the mix. The new version also works without adding the DISABLE_COMMAND_REFERENCE_CHECK=1. So all is good now thanks alot.
