View Full Version : AGKNOT Awesome! One small, old problem...

I was having the same audio sync trouble ripping the Chronicles of Narnia that everyone here was having two years ago, so I did a search of this forum and found the following solution which seemed like pretty simple fix:
@pstar

Hi!"Sky High" (as are, apparently, all Disney releases now) has "RipGuard" copy protection.

Although DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 CAN successfully rip such DVDs, the rip is not "clean" - and this probably accounts for your synchronization problem. Do the following:

1) Use DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 to rip in "File mode" (NOT "ISO mode") - select "ALL files" (NOT just "movie files")

2) Load the ripped DVD "package" into VOBBlanker - select a new location to output files

3) Set VOBBlanker to "Process all files"

4) Press the "Process" radiobutton

5) Use the new (From the new output location) DVD "package" as your source

Let us know how it goes ;>}

I tried this solution and I ended up having the same audio sync problem, so I thought I would post a thorough description of what I've done, and someone might be able to tell me where I went wrong.

1. Rip using DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 using File Mode and selecting all:

Does everything looks cool so far?

So when I opened the VIDEO_TS.IFO file in VOBBlanker (v.2.1.2.0) I got the following message:

The following PGCs are marked as not one_seq
but they can be marked as one_seq (recommended)
VOBBlanker will do it in output IFOs

VTS 01 PGC 003

Do I want to press "OK" or do I want to close the box with the "x" or does it matter?

Thanks for the help. This is a great forum!

Ike

igraul, just use RipIt4Me, which contains everything needed to process the DVD and the ripped files in preparation for loading into AutoGK. Playing the files before you convert them will not show whether they will be in synch.

Well, I tried ripit4me, and still ended up with audio behind, so I just opened it in virtdubmod and nudged it 1.5 seconds. Thanks for the help, everyone.
