I see that a number of companies have released Blu-ray DVD burners and a few have also released HD DVD burners this year, and even one company has a sort of combo burner that reads both formats but writes Blu-ray.
I'm sure that a number of us who have been authoring DVDs in SD for the past 6 years or more are looking foward to shooting, editing and authoring on one of the 1080p-capable DVD formats very soon, myself included.
What's the consensus on whether some manufacturers will begin manufacturing drives that are fully compatible with both formats on read and write modes by 2Q 2008?
