I have been doing a little bit of h264 encoding in the Mac World using HandBrake and VisualHub. These tools are really clean. Select the input file, select output file, select width, select the file size or quality and then press "Encode". These tools talk multiple input file types including ifo and vob files.

Is there anything like this in the PC world? You know something like AutoGK or avi.net but for X264.

I forgot to mention, it does not need to be free.

Maybe you like to give Avidemux (http://avidemux.berlios.de/download.html) a try :D

It supports a lot of input formats (inlcuding multiple VOBs) and it has h264 encoder (x264) built-in.
Well, it's not a "one click" solution, but still pretty easy to use, provides lots of video filters and it's 100% free!
If you ever used VirtualDub, then you will get Avidemux working pretty fast...

Latest Win32 builds are here:
