LPCM to Ac3??

.....there s a problem i reencoded 2-ch LPCM to 2-ch ac3 but it doesnt sound correct !!! i use softencode but it seems to have an empty track that 's very noisy.


anyone know why??

The problem is you are using ahem installer so you should reinstall it or if that dosent work your only choice left is to use aftem 0.6

I don't know what the heck "ahem installer" is either, but I am guessing xbox360 meant Aften 0.06 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/aften) when he said "aftem 0.6". Another option is BeSweet's ac3enc, but the resultant quality is sub-par when compared to Aften, even though both are based on ffmpeg. The one you had problems with, SoftEncode, uses a different encoding library (Dolby v6.6.2, to be precise).
