View Full Version : WMe Assist, and now no WMV!!!

I've installed WME Assist, but now my system doesn't open any WMV!!! I've uninstalled and reinstaled but no WMV!!! Any Help, please?

I feel very sorry about that =_=!

I havn't received any report about this situations, so, I'm not sure what happened. Would you give me more information about that?

I've solved that problem, i opened the file in WMP 11 and it installed something that solved.

Now i have other problem, when i open WME Assist i get this error:

"The requested codec is not installed on this system"

That before the program appears, then when i click convert i get the same error, any clues?

Which version of WMEA did you install ? After 1.15, it doesn't install / unintall any codecs to users' system.

WMEA inquire WM codecs on users' system at the start. It seems you'd better to install WMFormat runtime to fix this problem.

I'm not sure which version of WMFormat is fit for your OS, just paste that link.

WMFormat SDK 9 / 9.5 for WinXP SP1
WMFormat SDK 11 for WinXP SP2 (or reinstall WMP11)

The latest version WMEA have fixed some bugs and updated with U.I. and Doc. Visit the website to check it out.

Ok, i've installed (again) WMP11 and it solved the problem, but after the encode starts a i get a Windows error, "WME Assistant has encountered a problem and needs to close" I'm running XP MCE

:) Thank you for the bugs report.

Some codecs may cause this problem after encoding job starts. Would you please tell me more details about that ?
