No MP3 Encoder working in Vegas 5.0

I'm at my wits end, I can't get any mp3 encoder to work within Vegas. I'm tried rendering LAME MP3, and Radium. I'm trying to comrpess with xvid in the end, but I've tried huffyuv and uncompressed to see if it was an xvid issue. Still no go. Something that I did notice, is that their is another "MPEG 3" option in the menu, but it has really strange audio formats, as in, very low quality, with the highest at 24,000khz or so.

I'm wanting to get this video finished up soon, plz hellp!

Update, the lower 2400khz mp3 encoder will encode in vegas, but neither LAME 3.97, or Radium will. Other people seem to have had success with 3.97, and I never had any problems until this last format.

Disable the "lower encoder" (likely the standard Microsoft install) via the Control Panel...
