lagarith and dual-core opteron, jumpy playback

so i cant seem to get smooth playback of 720x576 / 25fps material on opteron 170 using lagarith, any clues on how to fix that?

It the multithreading doesn't work very well, as was hinted at in the MSU codec comparison, then your cpu probably isn't fast enough to decode it in realtime.

Out of curiosity, whats your CPU load look like when playing back?

Also how are you trying to play it back and for what purpose? Lagarith plays back absolutely horribly for me if I try to view it in a directshow player. However, if I load it into Adobe Premiere or something, the playback seems mostly fine.

yes, i didn't try any editing apps yet, the dshow player (mpc) is what i used. The cpu load is at about 60%. Will try older non-multithreaded version.
