I have had this burner, LG GSA-4160B, for about a year and a half. Starting a month ago after teh full burning process has completed, the DVD never finishes, there is always an error, and I cannot fix it no matter what I have tried thus far, which was random google search quick fixes. If anyone could help me out it would be awesome. Heres the Log:

Hi!

Try running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on the burner.

Maxell makes one that sells for approximately $10US...

**EDIT** From a post I made at another forum 2 years ago - A Googlesearch for the phrase "PMA update failure" yielded postings at several other forums indicating that such an error message is the result of either poor quality media or the need for a firmware update...

Thanks setarip_old, I will try to update the Firmware later today. I will let you know the results.

AndrewKing,
I hope you do not have to do it, but I had some problems ike these two years ago. I got a solution (http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=1177373#1177373)

but I had to buy a new driver after all.

Disc Manufacturer ID: CMC MAGThis has been indicated by others to be poor quality media - and could be a contributing factor to your difficulties.

Try using higher quality media, such as Taiyo-Yuden ("T-Y") or Verbatim...
