Cyberlink's latest version installs 2 mpeg2 decoders - the normal DVD one and a BD/HD one. Now, what must I tell MS in its registry to use as the default mpeg2 decoder if I want to watch both HD Evos and DVDs?

In Vista, Cyberlink's install did not steal from MS the *preferred mpeg2 decoder* status, so anyone playing a DVD in something other than the Cyberlink player would still be using the MS decoder included with Vista.

Well, it looks as if both decoders installed by Cyberlink the normal one from v.7 and the newer BD/HD mpeg2 decoder accept the same media types as reported by gspot. So, I think that the newer decoder can completely replace the older one. What is odd is the newer one defaults to a low DS merit 0x0020000.
