The audio frequency in my source mpg file is 48khz, but after I use the MeGUI to convert it to mp4, the output audio frequency is only 24khz. Is this normal?

This problem seems to happen to most profiles. I have tried various profiles, include NDAAC, NDAAC HE, and FAAC LC, etc. But sometimes I do see 48khz output, though I forgot which profile I used.

The only way to determine whether an aac is HE or not is to decode a few frames, your average information panel won't do something so complex. (Look up HE-AAC to see why it's reported like that.) Nero bases HE/PS on the quality setting, I forget whether CT also does.
