Any simple ways to edit an .mp4 file?

I encode into the .mp4 container using either X264 or Nero AVC codecs and I am wondering when editting these files in a simple timeline application might be possible, unless such an app already exists???

avidemux or yamb/mp4box or quicktime or check the sticky

I have some bad frames that I want to cut out of an .mp4 video. Avidemux won't load it, Yamb is only a splitter/joiner.

I have tried to convert to another container type but they all cease at the bad frames.

Players will play over the original bad spot and continue.

So I'd like something that will edit/cut the bad part out. Is there any program that will do this please?

only frames that are not used as reference for other frames can be cut out without running into troubles, and there are not many frames of that sort

tried demuxing the video stream to raw and remux to mp4 again? what happened to the file to be borked?
