View Full Version : Change default audio track?

From a 3-audio track DVD I want to keep the third (DTS) and blank out the first and second, and remap both to the third. If I go into the Audio menu the cursor jumps to the third alternative and everything works fine.

But, originally it's the first track that is default. If I do *not* go into the Audio menu the DVD is silent.

I guess this can be fixed with a variety of utilities, including pgcedit. But if only *1* track is left in a title it ought to be possible for DVD Rebuilder to automatically set that to the default track. Isn't it so, or is there a problem?

I have DVD Rebuilder Pro.

With DVD-RB Pro...

Click on settings, then Options, ...Audio Track Remapping

Yes, I do that. And as I wrote, that works *if* I go into the audio menu. But that seems a bit unnecessary for me when I play it to have to do that every time, since I have only left one audio track on the DVD.

I can fix that with pgcedit (http://jean.laroche.free.fr/Jumping0.4.3.1/index.html) but I think DVD Rebuilder should do that automatically.

I guess I don't understand why it is a problem to just swap the tracks with the audio remapper? My experience has been that removing audio tracks from the IFOs (as opposed to the VOB) is problematic because of command and menu dependencies -- so I leave them there. I would also note that I've also seen/heard of those issues in other packages that remove them from the IFOs.

I just decided to take the safe route.
