hiya :)

i have an old dvd called "the jackal" (bruce willis, richard gere).
it is a region code 2 dvd :(
the problem is that its only possible to watch it in english WITH
german subtitles or in german without subtitles. (how retarded is that?)
i only bought the dvd to be able to watch it in english (original)
and i cant stand subtitles. well i learned my lesson then, never
purchased another code 2 dvd.

is there any way to get rid of the subtitles if id rip this movie?

i did successfully rip 2 dvds so far with ripit4me (love that tool!), but
i wouldnt know how to go about this and since i dont even know
if its possible, i figured id be lazy and ask :P lol

sorry, if this is the wrong section to post, wasnt sure. if so please
move it.

Use the re-author mode in DVD Shrink and simply uncheck the subtitles.

@FishTank

Hi!

Actually, if you use DVD Shrink's "Re-author" mode as suggested by "dialysis1", you'll lose the DVD's menu(s).

Using the "Full Disc" processing mode of DVD Shrink will also allow you to delete subtitles (and any audiostreams you don't want, as well), while retaining full menu functionality...

just tried it and worked like a charm!
now got the movie in english without subs.
though i removed the menu and other languages anyway to
save space (original is dual-layer).
