Can DVD-RB store HD-DVD on DVD 5 or DVD 9 in the future ??? Maybe 720p instead of 1080p
Or isnt that possible ?
thanks

Possible -- but you'd need a player that can accept it. Today, though, you'd have to output to an HD formatted disc -- which DVD-RB can't do (yet).

If DVD-RB could accept video as an input instead of a DVD source then there should be no real reason why not
If you want to convert HDTV to DVD, or for that fact virtually any video source, I use VSO ConvertXtoDVD which does a very good job and all you do it point it to where the files(s) are and it does the rest
It will only convert any video to DVD sizes ONLY you cannot change any dimensions which is where its major fault lies, unlike DVD-RB which uses AVISynth so you can do pretty much anything to the video source
If you use it to create a DVD that uses menus the default menu system is terrible, but it does the job if you need a menu. It also does an excellant job of keeping audio in sync when converting xvid/divx to DVD

I've seen that it's possible to create a "HD-DVD compatible ready to burn on DVD-R or DVD+R .iso file"...:

i thought that DVD-RB encodes the HD DVD to X264 that fits on a DVD5 or DVD9 . Maybe this option is possible to include into DVD-Rebuilder

Actually you can use the MOBILE function to encode to X264 now... not sure how you'd play it back, though, except on a PC.

You have to play it with a software player like Powerdvd or so .
Ill take a look at x264 encoding with dvdrb
