Ok I admit I am a total newbie at this DVD burning stuff but I want to become better educated so the first thing I want to do is get a software setup I know works. I have a laptop with a DVD Dual Layer burner in it now, but what software do I need? I am running Windows Vista Premium version, if that helps.

start with the burning software that came bundled with your laptop/DVD Burner... probably Nero which is a good starting point..

Actually it is Roxio, I was more wondering about decrypting software that will work with Vista. I have been trying to use DVD Dycrypter and it keeps erroring out during the burning, so I was wanting someone that has successfully burned DVD's on a Vista machine tell me what they use.
Thanks!

Try ripping your DVD(s) using the easy to use "RipIt4me" package (Incorporates RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, FixVTS, and DVD Shrink). You can download this excellent freeware from:
www.ripit4me.org
While you're at that site, read the excellent "how to" tutorial...
