Use this tool:

http://www.sinnercomputing.com/CPUSpyDL.htm

It's shareware - you can try it free for 30 days.

(I have absolutely no connection with them!)

ohhh c'mon - please don't advocate shareware...

after some years working with pc's I would always recommend a really tiny tool for a short overview of your pc and that would be:

CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php)

it gives you an overview as follows... (my rock solid archaic baby :) )

I wasn't advocating anything. (I thought I made that clear.)

I was merely pointing out that there is something out there that would do the job and, assuming that job needed doing soon, would be free.

Had it required payment before using it, I wouldn't have recommended it.

Had I known of CPU-Z, I would have recommended it.

Obviously, a freeware alternative is great.

Just for your info, it's one of the most well-known apps for checking CPU clock speeds. They use it during overclocking.

My CPU. No 3Dnow O.o Is that good or bad?

My CPU. No 3Dnow O.o Is that good or bad?Well, you won't find 3DNow! in Intel CPUs. 3DNow! is from AMD, for AMD processors. The Intel equivalent is SSE, which you have.

And a couple of free alternatives, apart from the obviously great CPU-Z:

Central Brain Identifier (AMD) (http://cbid.amdclub.ru/)

CyrstalCPUID (all CPUs) (http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalCPUID/)

Crystal is also extremely useful when speedstep/powernow just won't work, like on my server. (Sort of combining a stripped-down RMClock with CPU-Z.)
