Hi
I'm getting a "No video streams were found" when attempting to load an .MPG file into AutoGK v2.40.
Sources:
DVB-T broadcast capture at 1920 x 1080, AC3 on a Videomate T-300 pci card in both .native mpg & .TP. Also tried other mpg's.
Tried changing extention to ".m2v", then loads but no audio.
Tried seperate auto/video from videoredo but AGK cant find/use audio files.
Editor:
Videoredo, options, tried all.
Output, tried all.
Also set [videoredo] Options AR=16.9, Bit Rate=8mbps, Max gop length=15, ... no joy.
AC3 filter (latest): Installed.
AC3 DCM (latest): Installed.
* Tried all of above installed on a "vigin" partition...same.
My Goal:
Simply to create an edited HD 1920 x 1080, AC3 5.1 video in XVid at about 4.4GB (hey DVD's are cheap, my HTsys aint!) using what ever (anyone know of good editors?)
Computer:
Intel D-820 2.8 clocked @ 3.6 (tried @ 2.8, no joy)
ASUS P5WD2
Audio: on board.
OS: XP sp2
Posible concerns: A terra load of codecs installed once in an attempt to play WMV files (but see other boot note above).
Hope someone can shed some light.

Possibly post a sample, cut it with DGIndex.

Also: What do I do in DGIdex? does it edit, compile, output ???

DVB-T as far as I know is not capable of HD resolution at the moment... ;)
my guess is that 'your' capture is a DVB-S stream... native transport stream would be *.ts but many cards offer to capture as *.mpg as well...
loading such an mpg into AutoGK isn't such a good idea... though it is possible without any problems...
first you should eliminate any possible errors within your captured stream - use ProjectX 0.90.04.00.b14 (http://www.oozoon.de/main_en.html) for that task.
after the process of eliminating any errors in the stream with ProjectX you have to mux the streams again - because ProjectX is partitioning your *.mpg into an *.m2v and *.ac3 (or *.mp2)
for muxing you could use ImagoMPEG-Muxer (http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=ImagoMPEG-Muxer)...
you have 2 choices for muxing: *.vob and *. mpg ... I'd say go with *.vob as you said you have problems loading mpg into AutoGK (which shouldn't be a problem as I said ;) )...
after muxing your m2v and AC3 into vob, load that vob into AutoGK and all should be as you expected AutoGK to work...
btw... AutoGK is able to load an m2v but recognizes that stream as just a plain video stream even though audio may be present in your stream...

Some new developments!
BTW thanks for all your time & help.
I had also noticed that NO .mpgs were being loaded from off net, capture or anything but only .avi would load to AGK.
First of all, that "virgin" partition was not that virgin, I even uninstalled the MB sound drivers (2) but no luck, so I re-ghosted back to a "bare-bones" image ie: No drivers, no VGA card, no sound .. nothing, just a freash new install of XP. (yuk)
All this is going on on the 1st par of my dual boot sys btw.
Next I just installed the AGK 4 x programs and it now loads any of my HD test files along with others & compiles OK.
Now I have to start installing drivers to find the culprit.
And then I'll just do all Xvids on partition 1.
Also: Yes our DVB-T broadcast is 1920 x 1080 @ AC3 2 or 5.1 for HD (Melbourne, Australia).
Parting shot: I DONT know how anyone can use that horrible M.S. explorer program? EEK!
I'll can back to ya with final conclusion...

sorry, maybe I'm getting blind but where do I see that those streams are broadcasted via DVB-T
as far as I can see it is only about High Definition Digital Programs in general but not specifically about terrestrial broadcasting...

Ok here is the solution or at least mine anyway, for anyone who may also have this setup & probs.
I just had to go from "bare bone" OS (see above) and install updated drivers for MB sound (Realtech R1.21), then AC3 filter, then ACd filers. The only thing I still hav'nt installed was the USB drivers, some net drivers & raid drivers but dont need them on this boot.
The overclock 2.8 to 3.6 Mhz causes no problems btw.
And all is fine.
And also thanks to sillKotscha for those other suggestions, as will try some of these also for other probs.
Now I've just flipped through all of the main channels and this is
whats reported on my "DVico Fussion DVB-T Plus" card gui.

The "DVB-T" is what is stated on my card, and also many others who refer to this type of transmition.. as opossed to cable TV, satelite etc.
So I did my 1st XviD at 1920 x 1080 @ 50% filesize and at 26:27 mins for the 2:05 min test clip, now I know why many dont bother. And this is while running at 3.6Mhz, 2 x cores @ 100%. Thats about 24 hrs for a 2 hr clip.
But quality is unbeatable in my tough ocean/beach Ironwoman test. But standard will also do just fine as quality still looks awesome, it was worth the effort.
Thanks again for the help guys.
