I've got a few videos, however when I try and convert them all I come across is converters that make the audio go out of sync once completed or something like tmpgenc which will just give me a random set of digits as an error.
So my question is could somebody make a quick laymens guide to taking the audio out and then making a perfect mux back into audio that is easier to convert.
The file I have is divx/avi and I wish to make it mpg possibly xvid/avi and remove a few frames at the same time which I pretty much know how to do, its just the muxing of audio i'm not too sure on although I know how to use tmpgenc and virtualdub as i've used these for years on and off but never for major jobs, just splitting and joining so I figured now is a good time to learn how to extract the audio and then attach it again perfectly in sync.
Thanks anybody who can help
