MP4 how do i run it as a dvd?

Im really confused among other things(being im new to this) but i have an MP4 file that i wanna put on a dvd so that when the dvd is put in the player it automatically runs how do i do that?
sorry for the noob question, this question is for codex with avi and things like that

If your DVD player supports mp4 then it should play it without any problems, btw what codecs the mp4 file using, if not sure check it with Gspot.
