I have a compaq Presario SR1954NX with with a AMD Athlon 64 processor 3700+ 2.2 GHz. When i play a backup HD movie on PowerDvd 7.2 I can get it to play but it stutters a whole lot! I was wondering if the reason for this was that my computer is to slow or if its my card is not good enough.. .someone please help me...

Totally not going to work. You need a minimum of a dual core or an insanely overclocked single core. A good graphics card can partly make up for that, with Cyberlink, but most likely yours is totally incapable of acceleration, as well. You're pretty much stuck with re-encoding.

You can pick up MeGUI and follow the EVOB Demultiplexing thread to figure out how to make your video work (must simpler with the latest haali's splitter), then re-encode it to xvid if you want to keep the resolution.

If you still have that integrated graphics that came with it, you probably won't even be able to display 1080p at all, and might as well resize to 720p. It's pretty much a lost cause to get HD discs going on your system.
