Two little things,

Am I wrong or AVInaptic isnt able to open its own reports?
Shows them like any other text not showing the movie's analysys

Since it shows the max DRF, would be useful to know also the min.



(still a little thing, the opened filename in the app bar, useful when multiple istances are opened for comparative purpose)

Can you tell me please, the "Total frames" -- is it calculated by the Avinaptic itself, or just a piece of information stored in a container?

For mkv files for example, you get it only after you run the analysis, so I guess it is calculated (naturally, this can be different with other containers).

Well, what I mean. Any container can be analyzed in this way: Duration x Frame rate = Total frames,
but this may be misleading as to the real number of frames. There is an example:

the Avinaptic shows 202955 of total frames, but in fact the file includes only 2763 of them :)
It is not an artificial case, e.g. we have similar situations with partially downloaded files.

At this moment I found only the Gspot showing the correct "Total frames". It would be great for Avinaptic to be able to show both of them (the difference can be accentuated by colors) -- the real number of frames, as well as the faked number of frames that a player or other tool expects for processing. Such info given automatically could be very helpful to overcome a lot of problems, IMO.

When you feed AVInaptic with borked .AVI files it's pretty obvious it will provide the wrong information :eek:

And the developer of AVInaptic is fsinapsi, not buzzqw.

Ouch, sorry, I mispasted the nickname of the author. Now corrected, thanx.

The borked .AVI is just an extreme example. Nevertheless, the Gspot shows the correct number of real frames.
If nobody interested in such functionality, I don't bother.
