Hello All,

For some movies (the departed was one), when i play them on my bose dvd player i will get "cannot read disk" when changing chapters. If i skip over the swtich it is okay. Also the disk skips over the intros.

I found that by taking the final iso from DVD-RB and running it through dvd shirink with no compression fixes this problem.

Any suggestions on what is wrong with DVD-RB or my settings?

Thanks
Jomile

What are you using to rip the Org disc?

Are you ripping the whole Disc?

If so, are you encoding the whole disc or main movie only?

Are you doing any pre-processing? Removing trailers... etc.

Any and all other info will help.

Im using DVD Decryptor, AnyDVD, and Daemon tools for the dvd. One click mode, cce 2.67, the whole disk for ripping and encoding. No pre-processing.

Try riping the disc with RipIt4Me (http://www.ripit4me.org/)

I found that more and more I'm running into problems with AnyDVD on some of the newer disc where RipIt4Me goes right thru without a hitch. I see something the .IFO file are not correct with AnyDVD. DVD-RB copy the .IFO files from the rip so that would be why you are having the acces problems... when you run the .ISO thru DVD-Shrink, shrink builds the .IFO files

You can also try running the output from AnyDVD thru FixVTS (http://download.videohelp.com/FixVTS/) but if your going to do that you may as well use RipIt4Me to begin with because it does the same thing.
