Ok, first let me apologize for my first thread which was closed due to moderators believing I was trying to make a copy of a DVD I did not own.

To clarify, I purchased the DVD and an old roommate had ripped it to my hard drive. Now, I can no longer find the original DVD (I do have the original case if that makes you feel better :) ). I don't live with the guy anymore so I can't find out what he used to rip the dvd.

Now, I have some .IFO, .VOB and .BUP files. I burnt them to a DVD using nero, but the dvd will only play on my dvd-rom, not in any of my regular dvd players. It keeps giving me an incorrect region error.

When analyzing the files with DVD Decryptor, it shows that the files are Region 1, with no RCE protection, yet it still won't play.

I tried re-ripping this burnt copy with DVD Decryptor and then reburning with Decryptor as well, but I get the same problem.

Although I am being honest about purchasing the original DVD, if you guys don't believe me, I'm sorry and I won't repost this again.

(I'm presuming the moderators will find your explanation acceptable, so I'll respond)

The disc is likely a ripped/burned DVD in PAL format...
